Overview
A municipality/university payment system utilizing real time credit card
authorization and posting and a touch tone phone to allow recipients of parking
tickets and other applications issued by the Agency to pay by credit/debit card
authorization through either touch-tone phones or spoken voice input.
How does it work
After calling the agency phone number, the caller hears a greeting and is asked
to enter their account/citation number or license plate number using a
touch-tone phone. Once the caller has entered the information the system
verifies the entry via voice back. The caller has the option of paying any other
outstanding debts they may have. Payment is processed in a secure and encrypted
environment with credit worthiness being checked on a real-time basis. Database
and financial reconciliation is done on a scheduled basis.
